Isom, Richardson earn CoSIDA academic honors

Austin Peay free safety Demaro Isom and defensive end Jordan Richardson have been selected second-team University Division CoSIDA Academic All-District IV.

The Academic All-District Team is part of the Academic All-America program sponsored by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). To be nominated, a player must be a starter or key reserve in at least his sophomore season and own a minimum of a 3.2 grade-point average.

Austin Peay free safety Demaro Isom and defensive end Jordan Richardson have been selected second-team University Division CoSIDA Academic All-District IV.

The Academic All-District Team is part of the Academic All-America program sponsored by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). To be nominated, a player must be a starter or key reserve in at least his sophomore season and own a minimum of a 3.2 grade-point average.

Isom, a senior from St. Louis, holds a 3.3 GPA in business accounting. He transferred to APSU two years ago from Northwest Missouri State University. He is a three-time member of the Dean's List (3.5 GPA); four-time member of the Athletics Director's Honor Roll (3.0 GPA+ per semester) and a 2002 member of the Pioneer Football League Academic Honor Roll (3.0 GPA).

Richardson, a sophomore from Humboldt, holds a 3.7 GPA in biology. He is two-time member of the Dean's List and Athletics Director's Honor Roll. In addition, he was a 2002 member of the Pioneer Football League Academic Honor Roll.

District IV is comprised of schools in Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, Michigan and Ohio.
