Internationally renowned opera singer performs March 16

Austin Peays department of music presents a Guest Faculty Recital and master class featuring Patricia Stiles.

The public is invited to meet Stiles during her master class, which will include a question-and-answer session at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 16, in APSUs music/mass communication building, room 137. Her recital, including songs by Debussy, Dvorak and Purcell, will follow at 7:30 p.m. in the music/mass communication concert hall.

A mezzo-soprano, Stiles has performed more than 40 operatic roles with international opera houses in Germany and the United States. She has presented solo performances and master classes in Italy, Austria, Germany, Russia and the United States.

Stiles is an assistant professor of voice at Indiana University and a faculty member of Austria's American Institute of Musical Studies. The master class and recital are free and open to the public. For further information, telephone 7818.
