Five of the 10 Bracket Buster Series games will be televised on ESPN or ESPN2. The other five televised contests will be available on ESPN Full Court, a satellite pay-per-view service. The Governors, boosted by their current nine-game winning streak, have been selected to participate in one of the latter five contests featured in ESPN's syndicated package. Another 13 non-conference games scheduled for that date will not be televised on the national or syndicated package.

“We are honored to represent the OVC in the Bracket Buster Series,” says APSU Coach Dave Loos. “Wichita State obviously is a good team with a storied basketball tradition.

“At this point, I don't know a lot of details about their team but we will be putting together a scouting report on them. We look forward to the challenge on the 21st.”

Austin Peay and Wichita State have met on only two previous occasions, with the APSU losing both times on the road. In 1987-88, the Govs lost by a 72-66 count. During Loos' first year with the Govs in 1990-91, the Govs fell 81-55 in Wichita.

The Bracket Buster Saturday concept, named because of the success of the teams in NCAA Tournament play over the past few years, provides participating schools with an opportunity to play top non-conference opponents three weeks prior to Selection Sunday.
