Gingras hired as APSU athletics academic intern

A former soccer player at the University of New Mexico will serve as APSUs athletics academic intern.

Rebekah Gingras, who was a member of the University of New Mexico soccer team from 2001-03, has been hired to assist Josh Sampson in the academic coordinators office. Sampson himself recently was hired as APSUs new athletics academic coordinator.

Gingras received her bachelors degree in psychology from New Mexico in May 2004. She is scheduled to attain her masters in athletic counseling in May 2006 from Springfield College, Springfield, Mass.

Gingras received her bachelor's degree in psychology from New Mexico in May 2004. She is scheduled to attain her master's in athletic counseling in May 2006 from Springfield College, Springfield, Mass.

Before coming to APSU, Gingras served as an academics counselor at a small college in New England. She also served as case manager at the Springfield Adolescent Graduation Experience (SAGE) Secondary School, where she also taught life skills.
