Georgia asks for $61 million more in HOPE scholarship funds

Georgia officials are asking for a 14 percent increase in funding–thats $61 million–for the states HOPE college scholarship program. Its a move that could mean dipping into the financial reserves next year.

According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, HOPE officials annually ask for more funds to pay for growth. However, this years request dwarfs last years by a whopping $10 million.
