A full night of entertainment highlights the 6th Annual ‘Holiday Feast'

Austin Peay State Universitys department of music presents the Sixth Annual Holiday Feast.

Dinner will be served at 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 3 in the Joe Morgan University Center Ballroom.

The Holiday Collage Concert will follow immediately, with a 7:30 p.m. performance in the concert hall of the music/mass communication building.

The concert will begin with Dance of the Jesters performed by the Wind Ensemble, followed by Good Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen by the String Quartet and Sleigh Ride by the Flute Choir.

Students Margaret Brewer, soprano, and vibraphonist, Brandon Wilson, will perform “Little Tree.” The Tuba Ensemble will highlight three pieces by Anthony Holborne. Marc Bady, tenor, and the Chamber Singers will present “Glory Hallelujah to the New Born King.”

Peter Warlock's “Pavan & Basse Dance” will be performed by the Guitar Quartet, followed by “Overture to Die Fledermaus” by the University Orchestra and “Winterlong” by the Jazz Combo.
The Horn Ensemble will perform various pieces by Michael Praetorius, and the University Choir will present “The Blessed Son of God.”

Gabriele Fauré's “Pavane, Op. 50” will be performed by the Saxophone Quartet. John Cecil Thomas, tenor, will perform “I Wonder as I Wander,” and the Percussion Ensemble will present “Silent Night.”

The concert will conclude with the University Choir and Orchestra, with special guest student soloists performing Beethoven's “Choral Fantasy.”

Tickets are $40 for dinner and performance. For performance only, tickets are $15 and $7 for students with a valid ID.
