Former Gov to represent Tacoma Rainiers at All Star Game

Yearly, fans anxiously await the announcement of the All Star Team roster. This year Rainiers fans will be able to cheer on one of the finest players in Triple-A baseball: George Sherrill. The former Gov has been chosen to represent the Pacific Coast League and the Tacoma Rainiers in Pawtucket, R.I., on Wednesday, July 14.

The former Gov has been chosen to represent the Pacific Coast League and the Tacoma Rainiers in Pawtucket, R.I., on Wednesday, July 14.

Sherrill, left-handed pitcher for the Rainiers, spent four seasons playing Independent League baseball before signing with the Mariners in July of last season. The 6'0”, 210 lbs. Memphis native and 2000 graduate of Austin Peay, is currently 3-2 with 8 saves and a 2.66 ERA.
