Flute Choir fall concert slated for Nov. 21

APSUs department of music, in conjunction with the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts, presents a concert by the Flute Choir.
The concert, under the direction of Dr. Lisa Vanarsdel, professor of music, will be held at 7:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 21 in the concert hall, music/mass communication building.

The program will feature Jindrich Felds Petit Divertissement, Anatole Liadovs Three Russian Folk Songs and Sleigh Ride by Frederick Delius. It also will include Georg Philipp Telemanns La Caccia and Pie Jesu by Gabriel Faure.

Nicki Richmond, graduate student studying under Dr. Gregory Wolynec, will conduct “Overture to ‘Magic Flute'” by Wolgang Amadeus Mozart.

Under the direction of JoAnn McIntosh, the Community School of the Arts High School Flute Choir, composed of nine high school flutists from Montgomery County and Fort Campbell, Ky., schools, will join the APSU Flute Choir for performances of Handel's “Music for the Royal Fireworks” and Beibl's “Ave Maria.”
