Disability Awareness Month activities continue

The Office of Disability Services at APSU is hosting a month of activities in April in observance of Disability Awareness Month.

Those activities kicked off with a sign language workshop and free screening of Children of a Lesser God last Wednesday.

The celebration will continue with the following activities:

The celebration will continue with the following activities:

Wednesday, April 13
•The STAR Center Access Express will be on campus from 2-5 p.m. in the UC Plaza. Known as the “STAR Center on wheels,” the van provides computer access evaluation, workplace accommodations, employer orientations and assistive technology evaluations.

If you are not an APSU student, please bring one canned good to donate to the “AP CAN Provide” food drive.

•A free screening of “A Beautiful Mind” will be offered from 7-9 p.m. in Java City.

Wednesday, April 20
•Ms. Wheelchair Tennessee Elizabeth Alley will speak from 2-4 p.m. in the University Center, Room 306.

•A free screening of “The Other Side of the Mountain” will be offered from 7-9 p.m. in Java City.

All activities are open to the public. If you need special accommodations for the film screenings, please contact disability services by the Monday before the show.
