Deadline nears in raffle to win new convertible

The deadline approaches to purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win a shiny red, 2005 Ford Mustang convertibleand to help provide scholarships to more students at Austin Peay State University.

The raffle drawing will be held at half time of the ESPN Bracket Buster Game on Saturday, Feb. 18, in the Dunn Center. It is not necessary to be present to win.

All proceeds from the raffle, which is sponsored by the APSU Foundation, are designated for scholarships. Tickets are $10 each, and anyone18 or oldercan enter the raffle and increase the chances of winning by buying multiple tickets.

Raffle tickets can be purchased in the University Advancement Office in the Browning Administration Building and online. For online purchases go to www.apsu.edu and click on “Final Days to Win a 2005 Mustang Convertible!”

The 2005 Mustang V6 Convertible Deluxe has a red, clear coat, a medium-parchment cloth interior, air conditioning, premium stereo with CD player and clock. It has an active anti-theft system, five-speed automatic transmission, interior upgrade package and exterior sport appearance package.

The winner will pay the normal sales tax on the vehicle, as well as federal income taxes, based on individual income bracket for the calendar year.

APSU Foundation members, University Advancement staff and their immediate families are not eligible to win. Complete rules are available from the University Advancement Office.

Payment for raffle tickets is by cash, check or money order made out to the APSU Foundation, or they can be purchased with a credit card from the online store, cited above.
