Middle Tennessee State University and O'More College of Design are in the early stages of discussion regarding the establishment of a formal relationship, according to MTSU President Sidney McPhee. For years, students have taken classes and transferred credits between the schools. O'More already has articulation agreements with Belmont University and Columbia State Community College. The La Vergne Board of Mayor and Aldermen has hired Murray State University hydrogeologist Albert Ogden to study how many sinkholes are in the city, how they are connected to each other and Percy Priest Lake and how to install an injection pump next to sinkholes to pump out excess rainwater.
