Rodriguez is the first Hispanic comedian to perform at APSU. Originally from Chile, he and his family moved to the U.S. when Rodriguez was 5 years old. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Connecticut College, and his humor has been politically charged ever since.

After moving to Los Angeles in 2000, Rodriguez quickly established himself as one of the must-see comedians on the West Coast. In 2004, he made his first television appearance on SiTV's “Latino Laugh Festival.” Since then, he has performed at several colleges and universities throughout the U.S.

“I hope that this event will bring together not only students who identify themselves as Hispanic, but also other students and local community members who are interested in having a few laughs. The goal is to unite everyone in one space so that they can enjoy quality entertainment together as a community,” said Heidi Scheusner Leming, director of student life and leadership at APSU.
