College of Graduate Studies assumes work of graduate admissions processing, names contact person

Effective Dec. 19, 2006, the Austin Peay State University College of Graduate Studies assumed responsibilities for all graduate admissions processing.

According to Dr. Charles Pinder, dean of the college, APSUs graduate admissions processing has been moved from the Office of Admissions to the College of Graduate Studies.

Tara Smith, whose office is located in Kimbrough Building, Room 203, was named graduate admissions lead worker.

According to Dr. Charles Pinder, dean of the college, APSU's graduate admissions processing has been moved from the Office of Admissions to the College of Graduate Studies.

Tara Smith, whose office is located in Kimbrough Building, Room 203, was named graduate admissions lead worker.

Since January 2005, Smith has been employed as a Web site specialist for Simplex Web Design, Clarksville. From February 2003-January 2005, she was the director of the Crisis Pregnancy Center, Kankakee, Ill.

A National Merit Scholar who, as a high school student, attended Indiana University-Purdue University, Indianapolis, part time to receive double credit for high school and college work, Smith ultimately earned two Bachelor of Arts degrees--in religious studies and political science--from Olivet Nazarene University, Bourbonnais, Ill.
