If you know someone considering Austin Peay State University's Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies (B.S.P.S.) degree-completion program, now is the perfect time for that person to start.

APSU, in partnership with Nashville State Community College, is offering a class in the B.S.P.S. program at the Dickson County Higher Education Center, located at 220 McLemore St., Dickson.

The B.S.P.S. is for students who have completed general education coursesthose courses completed in an associate degree program or during the first two years of a bachelor's degree program. APSU will apply the course credits already earned toward the credits needed to earn a B.S.P.S. Then the student will complete the remaining professional studies courses online and at the Dickson County Higher Education Center.

For the Spring II term beginning March 25, the Dickson center will offer PTMA 3000 Leading Teams, an upper level course, as part of the B.S.P.S. The class meets from 5:30-9:30 p.m., Tuesdays, March 25—May 2. Using theoretical principles of adult learning and group dynamics, this course introduces students to the skills required to manage team processes effectively.

Students learn how to use project teams, select team members, lead effective meetings and work through team problems.
