Center for Creative Arts to host play about frontier

The Austin Peay State University Center of Excellence for Creative Arts will sponsor a play.

Nice People Dancing to Good Country Music is slated for 7:30 p.m., Oct. 4-7 in the Trahern Theatre, Room 220. The last show will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 8. The cost is $6 for adults and $4 for students, with student ID. Tickets are on sale Monday through Thursday. Tickets also will be on sale one hour before each performance.

The play is about how the American frontier was seen as a region creating freedom, breaking the bonds of custom, offering new experiences and calling out new institutions and activities. The play includes performances by Jamie Farmer, Joe Wojtkiewicz, John Thomas Cecil, Michael Kelly and Elizabeth Hadden.

Students can receive extra credit in APSU 1000 classes and for certain cultural events on campus.
