“While I am pleased and excited about my new job, I am understandably sad to be leaving Austin Peay State University after 15 years,” Calovini wrote to department chairs.

“My experiences as a faculty member and administrator here have been overwhelmingly positive. I have made many friends across the campus, and I have certainly grown from my varied experiences.”

President Sherry Hoppe and Provost Bruce Speck, who have been supportive of her plans, indicate that discussions are underway to identify Calovini's successor as interim dean.
