Benessa Defend, senior computer science major, won first place in the Undergraduate Student Paper Contest For Schools Without a Graduate Program at the Association For Computing Machinery (ACM) Mid-Southeast Conference Nov. 11-12 in Gatlinburg.

The All State celebrated its 75th anniversary last week with a special edition and exhibit of newspapers at Woodward Library.

The annual Staff Holiday Reception will be held from 2-4 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 14, in UC 303-305. Peaybay prizes will be awarded, and one grand-prize winner will be chosen from the top 10 point-earners. The department of music invites you to brighten someone's holiday with a poinsettia. Following the Holiday Choral Concert at 3 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 5, plants will be delivered. The plants are $12 each. To place your order by Nov. 24, telephone 221-7818.

“Coming Home,” the culmination of the basketball season, will be held Feb. 17, 2005. The Office of Student Life and Leadership (SLL) is looking for Planning Committee volunteers.
