In a recent study of area conferences by the Louisville Courier-Journal, Austin Peay men's basketball graduation rates were the highest of five area conferences. In a four-year study of the OVC, SEC, Big Ten, Conference-USA and the Sun Belt, APSU basketball had an 86 percent graduation rate from those freshman classes from 1993-94 through 1995-96.

Non-Faculty employees who are anticipating a salary increase during 2004-05 based upon completion of a degree or passing the CPS exam should notify Human Resources Executive Director Bob Bird by e-mail at birdr@apsu.edu as soon as possible. The final driver training for spring, summer and early fall will be held Thursday, April 29. Classroom training will be offered from 8-10 a.m. in UC 307, and hands-on training in the van will be given from 10:30-11:30 a.m. or 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Training is required for van drivers, student employees and volunteers, and it is suggested for employees who transport students. Junior track standout Felicia James won her fourth 800-meter title of the outdoor season at the Murray Twilight Meet, Saturday, April 24, in Murray, Ky. James won her event with a time of 2:12.82, more than seven seconds better than the runner-up. APSU's other top-five finisher was Tia Hendricks, who was third in javelin.
