Auction items announced for Saturday's Bogguss concert

A wide assortment of items, ranging from autographed memorabilia to vacations condos to a live buffalo calf, will be auctioned off Saturday, Aug. 14, prior to the Suzy Bogguss concert.

The auction will be held in conjunction with the eighth annual Governors Club Concert series, an annual APSU athletics fundraiser. This years performance is An Unforgettable Evening with Suzy Bogguss, whose musical array ranges from country to Western swing to jazz to American Roots.
A wide assortment of items, ranging from autographed memorabilia to vacations condos to a live buffalo calf, will be auctioned off Saturday, Aug. 14, prior to the Suzy Bogguss concert.

The auction will be held in conjunction with the eighth annual Governors Club Concert series, an annual APSU athletics fundraiser. This year's performance is “An Unforgettable Evening with Suzy Bogguss,” whose musical array ranges from country to Western swing to jazz to American Roots.

Guests are invited to enjoy dinner at 5:45 p.m., followed by the auction at 6:45 p.m. and the 7:30 p.m. concert. All events will be held in the music/mass communication building on the Austin Peay campus.

The auction items will include Master's golf balls; an autographed photo of Mickey Mantle, Ted Williams and Joe DiMaggio; a Bret Favre helmet; guitars from Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones; a Bruce Springsteen microphone; an autographed Paul McCartney album; an autographed photo of Eric Clapton; a Michael Jordan autographed basketball with case; Babe Ruth autographed photo; Mickey Mantle autographed baseball; Joe DiMaggio autographed baseball; a week's stay in a Frisco/Lake Dillon, Colo., condominium; a week in a Gulf Shores, Ala., condominium; framed paintings of APSU's Browning Building, Emerald Hill, Harned Hall and Memorial Health Building by late artist Peg Harvill; a Chicago Bears football helmet autographed by offensive lineman John Tait and a live buffalo calf.

Proceeds from the concert and auction will go to support APSU athletics. Tickets are $100 per person, a portion of which is tax-deductible. MasterCard and Visa are accepted. For more information, telephone (931) 221-7127.
