Art student designs winning float in festival

An Austin Peay State University art student created the winning design for a float featured in the 2007 Rivers & Spires Festival held recently in Clarksville.

Robert Alexander, a sophomore education major who works as an airbrush artist at Governors Square Mall, created artwork for H.O.P.E. (Hispanic Organization for Progress and Education), which entered the float in the childrens parade. The float won first place.

Part of the float was built by Jose Trevino, whose wife, Pat Trevino, works in the accounting office at APSU. An Austin Peay State University art student created the winning design for a float featured in the 2007 Rivers & Spires Festival held recently in Clarksville.
