APSU's Trombone Studio Solo and Ensemble to perform April 11

Austin Peay State Universitys Trombone Studio Solo and Ensemble will perform at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 11 in the Music/Mass Communication Building Concert Hall.

Directed by Susan K. Smith and accompanied by Dr. Vicki King on piano, the Trombone Solo includes J. T. Womack, Troy Morris, Patrick Reynolds and Joel McGrath. Works by Albinoni, Salzedo, Lebedev and Pryor are featured.

The Trombone Ensemble will perform works by Serocki, Collery and Peeters. A jazz arrangement of the Charleston and the Entry of the Gladiators also will be presented.

Smith, instructor of trombone, says, “This concert includes an excellent group of musicians and a variety of styles.”

The admission-free concert is presented by the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts and the APSU Department of Music.
