APSU student accepted to premiere graduate program in engineering

Josh McDonald, a graduate from Austin Peay State University, has been accepted to one of the leading engineering schools in the country.

The Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering is part of Georgia Tech. Since 1992, U.S. News and World Report has ranked the schools graduate program in industrial and systems engineering as the best in the nation.

The Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering is part of Georgia Tech. Since 1992, U.S. News and World Report has ranked the school's graduate program in industrial and systems engineering as the best in the nation.

McDonald is from Newbern, Tenn. During his time at APSU, McDonald worked in the business office, tutored students in math and was an active member of the math club. He has been a leader in APSU's Structured Learning Assistance program since Spring 2008. McDonald graduated from APSU in the fall of 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in mathematics with a concentration in statistics. McDonald received an assistantship to the Stewart School, where he will pursue a Ph.D. in statistics.
