APSU to show ‘An Inconvenient Truth'

The Austin Peay State University Govs Programming Council and the Students Organized to Advance Renewable Energy will be showing the film An Inconvenient Truth.

The film will start at 6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 18 in the Clement Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.

Prior to showing the film, Beth Robinson from The Climate Project will give a brief introduction and host a question-and-answer session.

“An Inconvenient Truth,” directed by Davis Guggenheim and presented by former Vice President Al Gore, is a documentary about global warming and climate change. The film won the Academy Award for Best Documentary in 2007.

Gore released a companion book of the same name, which has remained on the paperback nonfiction New York Times best-seller list since June 2006.
