APSU presents a spring concert by APSU Chamber Singers

The Austin Peay State University Department of Music is pleased to announce a spring concert by the APSU Chamber Singers.

The concert will take place at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 5 in the Music/Mass Communication Concert Hall. There is no charge for admission.

The concert, titled The Road Home: Songs of Nature, Love and Longing, will feature works by Palestrina, Pearsall, Stephen Paulus and Eric Whitacre.

Songs performed during the concert will also be on the APSU Chamber Singers forthcoming CD.

Composed of 27 students, the APSU Chamber Singers is the premiere choral ensemble of the University.

Dr. Karen Kenaston-French will conduct the concert with assistance provided by Sylvia Carver. Kenaston-French is director of choral activities and associate professor of music at APSU. Carver is an adjunct instructor of music at APSU and specializes in piano.
