APSU offers fall physical ed class for home schoolers

Austin Peay State University, which is positioning itself successfully as an excellent college choice for home-schooled children, will offer a physical education program this fall for local home-schoolers.

The class is for students, ages 4-14. Registration is slated for 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 27 in the Dunn Center, Room 282. Registration also will be held the first day of class.

Classes are from 11:30 a.m.-noon, each Wednesday beginning Oct. 11 and running through Nov. 15. The cost is $10 per child with an additional $5 for each sibling.

America's home-schooled population is growing. With approximately 2 million home-schooled children in the United States, some statisticians are saying that home schooling is the largest education-reform movement of the last two decades.
