APSU hosts Pre-Professional Science Series Seminar Dec. 1

Is your son or daughter considering a career in dentistry, medicine, nursing or other science-related areas?

If your answer is “yes” or “maybe,” make plans to attend the Pre-Professional Seminar Series at 5 p.m., Monday, Dec. 1 in Sundquist Science Complex.

Sponsored by the Chemistry Club and the Office of Counseling, Testing and Career Services, the seminar is designed for high school students to learn about required college courses, discover career opportunities and meet with professors. For APSU students, it is designed to help them succeed in pre-professional programs, professional school admittance and finding employment.

Concurrent seminars begin at 5 p.m., when guests have the option of attending a session on Medical Technology and Nuclear Medicine, Pre-Optometry or Industry and Graduate School.

At 5:30 p.m., participants may choose a session about Nursing, Pre-Veterinary Medicine, Pre-Dentistry or Pre-Physical Therapy. There will be sessions on Pre-Medicine and Pre-Pharmacy at 6:30 p.m.
