APSU's first-ever College and Career Event will be held 9 a.m.-noon, Saturday, April 24, in the Joe Morgan University Center.

Participants will be able to receive a free career assessment by professionals in the University's Counseling and Testing Center and will hear a lecture by certified career coach Kathy Blanton. As managing consultant for Spherion, Blanton has extensive experience in career and leadership development and is a nationally certified career counselor. Her style has been described as “enthusiastic and motivating.”

Attendees will have the chance to talk to Austin Peay's admissions counselors and financial counselors. They also can meet with members of the faculty to talk about the major that would best prepare them for their new career.

Free childcare and refreshments will be provided.
