APSU to host video conference call for Fort Campbell families

Austin Peay State University will host a video conference call two days this week for Fort Campbell, Ky., families to communicate with their loved ones serving in Iraq.

Each family will have the opportunity to spend 30 minutes with soldiers overseas from noon-5 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 18 and Wednesday, Dec. 19 in Woodward Library Room 118 and in the Claxton Building, Room 216.

The Center for Extended and Distance Education at Austin Peay is coordinating the effort with U.S. Army units at Fort Campbell and The Freedom Calls Foundation.

Freedom Calls is a public charity building a satellite communication network to enable troops in Iraq and Afghanistan to keep in touch with their families, free of charge.
