APSU Extended Education offers spring classes

Develop a new skill, explore a new idea, learn a new language or seek a new career with one of the spring classes from Austin Peay State Universitys Center for Extended and Distance Education. Register early and receive a 10 percent early registration discount on selected courses.

Computer software applications
• MS Word XP Basics meets from 6-8 p.m., Mondays and Wednesdays, Jan. 30 – Feb. 13 at 106 Public Square, Lab B. TSBDC small business development seminars
• Government Contracting Workshop will meet from 9 a.m. — 1 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 9 at the Clarksville Chamber of Commerce. (course $20)
• Starting a Small Business Workshop will meet from 11 a.m. — 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 14 at the Clarksville Chamber of Commerce. (free)

Test prep classes
• ACT Test Prep-Math Skills will meet from 9 - 11 a.m., Saturdays, Feb. 4-18 at 106 Public Square, Clarksville. (course $55, text $20)
Parenting, health and safety courses
• Parents, Children and Divorce, the court-mandated seminar for divorcing parents, will meet in Montgomery County from 5:45 - 9:45 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 1 in APSU's Claxton Building, Room 116. (course $30, text $10)
• Parents, Children and Divorce, the court-mandated seminar for divorcing parents, will meet in Dickson County from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 11 at the Renaissance Center, Room 220. (course $30, text $10)
• Heartsaver CPR and First Aid for Adults and Children will meet from 6 — 9 p.m., Wednesdays, Feb. 8-15 in APSU's Clement Building, Room 304. (course $55, supplies $18)

The Center also offers year-round online certificate programs in administrative medical specialist, advanced medical coding for the physician's office, medical transcription, Cisco, CCNA, travel agent and paralegal training. Financial aid is available.
