APSU Extended Ed offers January classes

Learn a new skill in the new year with a course from Austin Peays Center for Extended and Distance Education.

Januarys offerings will include the following classes:

Community Service Programs

•Parents, Children and Divorce-Montgomery County is the state-mandated course divorcing parents with minor children are required to take before the divorce is granted. The course will run from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 10, in Clement 132. The course and textbook fee is $30.

January's offerings will include the following classes:

Community Service Programs

•“Parents, Children and Divorce-Montgomery County” is the state-mandated course divorcing parents with minor children are required to take before the divorce is granted. The course will run from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 10, in Clement 132. The course and textbook fee is $30.

•“Motorcycle: Basic Rider Course” provides basic mental and motor skills for new riders. The course will meet from 5:45-10 p.m., Friday, Jan. 16, and 8 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 17-18, in APSU's Armory 110. The course fee is $170, including textbook and insurance. Computer Software User Training

•“Overcoming Computerphobia” will meet from 6-8 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays, Jan. 13-22. The class will meet at 106 Public Square, Clarksville. The course fee is $65. The lab and supply fee is $12.

Languages, Leisure Learning and Personal Development

•“Conversational French-Part 1” will meet from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Tuesdays, Jan. 13-Feb. 17, at 106 Public Square, Clarksville. The course fee is $72.90. The text is $25.

Extended Ed also will be offering the following online certification courses: “Medical Transcription,” “Administrative Medical Specialist,” “Advanced Coding for the Physician's Office,” “Cisco CCNA Certification Training” and “Travel Agent Training.” For more information about online certification, visit www.gatlined.com.
