8 presidential candidates to be interviewed

Interviews with the final eight candidates for president of Austin Peay State University selected by the Presidential Search Advisory Committee for further consideration will be held April 17 and 18.
Interviews with the final eight candidates for president of Austin Peay State University selected by the Presidential Search Advisory Committee for further consideration will be held April 17 and 18.

The candidates who advanced to this phase of the search are Dr. Kendall A. Blanchard, Georgia Southwestern State University; Dr. James William Berry, Butler University; Dr. Timothy L. Hall, University of Mississippi; Dr. Linda L.M. Bennett, University of Southern Indiana; Dr. Robert H. Adams, Tennessee Board of Regents; Dr. Jackie Thomas, Middle Tennessee State University; Dr. Bruce W. Speck, Austin Peay State University; and Dr. Michael Spitzer, St. Cloud State University.

Blanchard's interview will take place at 6 p.m., Tuesday, April 17. The remaining candidates will be interviewed Wednesday, April 18, with the first interview scheduled for 9 a.m. and the last for 4:45 p.m. All interviews will be in the Morgan University Center, Room 305 on the APSU campus and are open to the public and the press as observers.

Following this round of interviews, which will involve only the advisory committee, the committee will select three to five candidates to bring back to the campus for a full day of interviews with all campus constituencies.
