41st Annual Student Art Show award winners announced

The Austin Peay State University Department of Art announces the winners of the 41st Annual Student Art Exhibition.

Several students were honored with awards:
Best of Show, Sarah Andrews – Untitled

2-D first place, Joshua Buckman – Self-Portrait; second place, Courtney Kroupa – Tobacco Farmer; third place, Mariah Hamm – Untitled (Butterfly); honorable mention, Otto – The Price of War.

3-D first place, Sun Meunier — The Sound of Spring; second place, Caroline Tuzeneu — Tomato Teapot Set; third place, D.L. Zartner — Fold; honorable mention Jared Cleghorn — Beautiful Repetition, and Caroline Tuzeneu — Green Bowl.

Graphic design first place, Sara Neuhart — Life Saver Luau; second place, Sara Neuhart — Tread Wear; third place, April Stilwell — Student Show Poster; honorable mention, Sara Neuhart — Door Advertisements.

Sarah Andrews, Courtney Kroupa, Jennifer Otto and Brent Hall received Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts Purchase Awards.

Jared Cleghorn received the Five Foot Trout Award.

The exhibition, co-sponsored by the Student Art League of the APSU art department and the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts, opened March 30 and will continue until April 19. The event is free and open to the public. The gallery will be open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday; noon to 4 p.m., Saturday' and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday.
