The Police Science and Administration program at the
Austin Peay Center at Fort Campbell is designed to upgrade the
skills, knowledge and abilities of in-service law enforcement
and private security personnel, as well as to provide a
pre-employment program for persons interested in a career in
law enforcement.
The police science program offers the
associate of applied science degree with a major in management
technology, and a concentration in either police
administration or corrections management. This degree provides
both a liberal and technical education for those serving or
who will serve as law enforcement professionals. The programs
and courses offered are progressive, professional, taught by
practioners in the field with both academic and experiential
credentials, and are adaptable to the changing needs of
society and changes in the law enforcement field.
Graduates in this program will be prepared to enter the law
enforcement career field, or they may apply for admission to
the baccalaureate programs of Professional Studies or Public
Management, each with criminal justice concentrations, at the
Austin Peay Center at Fort Campbell. The courses in this
program of study are offered both on-site and on-line.
