Will the Austin Peay State University bookstore ship my books to me?
Yes, the Austin Peay Bookstore will ship your books to you. If you are deployed, please note that it takes up to thirty (30) days for shipments to reach troops in Iraq or Afghanistan. To obtain books from the bookstore the student need only advise the bookstore of which course and section will be taken, as well as whether the course will be taken at main campus or at Fort Campbell. The web site for the APSU Bookstore is: http://www.apsu.edu/BOOKSTORE/. The student will have to pay the shipping charges.
We encourage all students to obtain their books and supplies through the APSU Bookstore, but it is not mandatory. If you wish to obtain your books from some other source, you need to know the ISBN. Every book printed in the United States and most foreign countries has an ISBN, which is a number assigned to that particular book. Please note that an ISBN changes from edition to edition and whether paper or hard back.
Sometimes students believe they can take on-line courses and not purchase the required textbook. This is not a good practice as the on-line lecture notes do not cover all material in the course. Many instructors, both on-line and on-site, will ask questions straight from the text. Further, the text will contain charts, tables, photographs, and diagrams not in the lecture notes. Purchase a text.
