Must submit a complete, signed application for admission in a timely manner or submit an on-line form by going to http://www.apsu.edu/admissions/. A one-time, non-refundable application fee of $15.00 is required. These fees are waived for active-duty military and dependents.
Provide evidence of high school graduation or GED with an average score of 450 and sub-scores no lower than 40. A special education diploma or high school certificate is not acceptable. An exception to this requirement is granted to transfer students who have earned 60 or more traditional semester hours, who graduated from high school before 1989, or who have earned an associate of arts, associate of science, or baccalaureate degree.
Submit all academic credentials including high school or colleges attended, with transcripts mailed directly to the APSU Office of Admissions.
Transient students may be admitted for one term/semester with a letter of good standing from their home colleges sent to the APSU Office of Admissions.
All military students must submit documents for military credit sent directly from the issuing agency to APSU Office of Admissions. For Army personnel it is the AARTS transcript or a form DD 295. Discharged military personnel may show military credit by submission of their form DD 214.
The State of Tennessee requires all new and readmitted students to provide proof of two immunizations with the Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) vaccines. Military students may prove the first shot by submission of their individual shot record. For deployed or distance education students, this requirement may be waived, but proof must be shown before any on-site class is attended.
Each student must be made aware of the risks of hepatitis B and meningococcal meningitis, and either obtain shots or sign a waiver before attending an on-site class.
Applicants age 21 years or older who do not plan to pursue a degree at APSU may be authorized to enroll as Special Students.
Submit copies of ACT or SAT scores, unless fitting one of the exceptions such as being a student over the age of 21 or active-duty military.
All permanent Resident Aliens must submit front and back copies of their Permanent Resident Alien Card.
