Basic Fitness

Learn to maximize your workout, proper warm-up and cooldown techniques, and the FIT Principle. Come to Basic Fitness at the Foy Fitness and Recreation Center room 202. Class times are Sept. 25 at 12:15 and 5 p.m., Oct. 27 at 5 p.m., and Nov. 20 at 12:15 p.m. All classes are 30 minutes. Free to all APSU ID holders. There is a $2 charge for non-ID holders.

Basic Nutrition

Learn the basics of nutrition, how to eat healthy on a budget, and balance "energy in" with "energy out." Classes are held at the Foy Fitness and Recreation Center in room 202. Class times are Sept. 17 at 12:15 and 5 p.m., Oct. 16 at 5 p.m., and Nov. 13 at 12:15 p.m. All classes are 30 minutes. Free to all APSU ID holders. There is a $2 charge for patrons without a valid APSU ID.

Group Fitness Sampler

Come sample a variety of group fitness classes at the Foy Fitness and Recreation Center, Sept. 11 from 4-6 p.m. Each class is 15 minutes and you can choose from Yoga, Latin Dance, Indoor Cycling, Muay Thai, R&B Step/Group Line and more! Drawings for prizes will be held afterwards. There is a $2 charge for non-APSU students.

Rape Prevention Awareness and Empowerment Program

We are offering a Rape Prevention Awareness and Empowerment program. It is a women's only program that will meet every Wednesday night, Sept. 10 -Dec.3. There will be classroom instruction followed by hands on self defense techniques. The cost is $10 for students, faculty and staff and $15 for community members. There are limited seats available so sign up in the Foy Center by Sept. 9.
