Scholarships

The Office of Alumni Relations oversees the awarding of the following scholarships:

APSUNAA Reunion and Past Presidents Scholarship
Amount: Up to $1,000 per year
Deadline: 4/2/2013                                                                                                                          Eligibility: Juniors, seniors and/or graduate students, standards set by APSUNAA
Work:
5 hours per week at Pace Alumni Center at Emerald Hill                                                          Renewable: Yes                                                                                                                                 Process: APSU Online Scholarship Application at http://www.apsu.edu/scholarships.

The APSUNAA Reunion and Past Presidents Scholarship provides up to $1,000 annually to juniors, seniors and/or graduate students. There is a 5 hours per week work requirement at the Pace Alumni Center at Emerald Hill. Recipients must have at least a 3.0 GPA, financial need, and be active on campus and potential alumni volunteers.  For further information contact the Alumni Relations Office, APSU Box 4676, telephone (931) 221-7979 or 1-800-264-2586. Applicants should also provide a resume and cover letter  describing skills, knowledge or talents that would be beneficial to their work in the Alumni Relations Office, i.e., graphic design, computer skills, artistic abilities, previous office experience, etc. Send your resume and cover letter to the Alumni Relations Office, APSU P.O. Box 4676, Clarksville, TN 37044. Be sure to include the name of this scholarship when submitting your information.


APSU National Alumni Association Scholarship
Amount: Up to $1,000 per year
Deadline: 4/2/2013                                                                                                                             Eligibility: Incoming freshman, standards set by APSUNAA
Work: 5 hours per week at Pace Alumni Center at Emerald Hill
Renewable: Yes

These scholarships are awarded annually, as available, to incoming freshmen. The scholarship award provides up to $1,000 per year and may be renewed subject to satisfactory completion of the following conditions as set by the APSUNAA: 5 hours per week work requirement at the Pace Alumni Center at Emerald Hill and 3.0 GPA. Students must be enrolled for a minimum of 12 hours per semester. For further information contact the Alumni Relations Office, APSU Box 4676, telephone (931) 221-7979 or 1-800-264-2586. Candlelight Ball Scholarship
Amount: Up to $1000 per year                                                                                                              Deadline: 3/1/2013                                                                                                                             Eligibility: Incoming freshman and current APSU students, standards set by APSUNAA                  Work10 hours on events                                                                                                                  Renewable: Yes                                                                                                                               Process: APSU Online Scholarship Application at http://www.apsu.edu/scholarships and submit essay and letter of recommendation to address provided below.

This scholarship is open to incoming freshmen and current APSU students. Recipient must be full-time and have minimum GPA of 3.0. Recipient will be required to work 10 hours on events. A one to two page essay on the importance of volunteerism and one letter of recommendation (preferably from a teacher or professor) are require. Prior to March 1st, both the essay and recommendation should be sent to: APSU, Candlelight Ball Scholarships, P. O. Box 4676, Clarksville, TN 37044.
