How To Start A Chapter
The APSU National Alumni Association have alumni chapters across the state of Tennessee and around the nation. Alumni chapters provide a medium through which the individual member of each chapter can contribute to the promotion and welfare of Austin Peay State University. Also, to provide a facility for stimulating interest in the chapter, its primary purposes and in Austin Peay State University.
Alumni chapters bring faculty and other representatives of the University closer to the people, so that they may know more about the University, its activities and benefits.
Alumni chapters host events such as annual events, community service projects, or special activities in their local communities.
Steps To Becoming A Chapter
Are you interested in starting an alumni chapter in your area? If so, please review the below steps.
1. Contact the APSU Alumni Relations Office at email@example.com or (931) 221-7979 and inform the staff of your interest in starting a chapter in your area.
2. Receive approval from the APSU Natonal Alumni Association establishing you as an official alumni chapter. Approval will be dependent upon strategic direction, budget of the APSU NAA and the number of alumni in your area.
3. Form an officer structure for the chapter. The most successful alumni chapters have a group of officers in place that assist in the growth of the chapter.
4. Create a plan of events for the next year to keep your alumni chapter active and supporting the mission and goals of Austin Peay State University and the National Alumni Association.
