APSU Alumni and Friends Chattanooga Reception

Join APSU Alumni & Friends as the APSU National Alumni Association and the Chattanooga Alumni Chapter sponsor a day at the ballpark. The Chattanooga Lookouts will take on the Mississippi Braves July 9, 2015 at 7:15 p.m.

APSU Alumni & Friends will enjoy watching the game from the Lookout Loft. Guests will enjoy a bottomless buffet before the game. Gates will open at 6 p.m.(EST) and first pitch will be at 7:15 p.m. Food service will run from 6:45 – 8 p.m.

Tickets are  $20 per person. Space is limited. RSVP now to reserve your discounted ticket through Eventbrite.  Rsvp’s are first come, first reserved. Transportation and parking are not included.

Guests will report to the Will Call Window to pick up their reserved ticket(s) at 6 p.m. and be directed to the Lookout Loft.

Alumni Bike Ride in Confluence, PA

Join APSU faculty members July 31 - Aug. 1, 2015 for an alumni bike ride in Confluence, PA. There will be an 80 and 22 mile bike ride hosted by Dr. Jamie Taylor and Dr. Alex King. 

The bike rides held on August 1-2, will take place on the Great Allegheny Passage. For more information, visit http://www.atatrail.org/

Itinerary:

  • July 31 
    • Bike Ride- Confluence, PA to the Eastern Continental divide. Approximately 40 miles ride (one way), resulting in an 80 mile round trip. We will meet at the parking lot of the Lucky Dog Cafe (849 River Road Confluence, PA 15424, (https://www.facebook.com/LuckyDogCafe) at 7:45 am to begin. Please note that you can turn around at any point.
  • August 1
    • Bike Ride-  Confluence, PA to Ohiopyle, eleven miles (one way), or  22 miles round trip. We will meet at the parking lot of Lucky Dog Cafe (https://www.facebook.com/LuckyDogCafe) at noon. We encourage everyone to have a light lunch before starting this ride.
    • OR Canoe/Kayak- A group will meet at Lucky Dog Cafe (849 River Road Confluence, PA 15424) at 9 a.m. to embark on a journey through the middle Yough River. You will be responsible for all purchases, fees, and risks associated with this event. For more information, visit  http://www.riversportonline.com (Contingent on having enough participants.     • OR Falling Water- A group will meet at 9 a.m. at Falling Water (1491 Mill Run Road
      Mill Run, PA 15464) to tour the area. You will be responsible for all purchases and fees associated with this event. For more information, visit http://www.fallingwater.org/ (Contingent on having enough participants. RSVPs are encouraged)
    • OR Zip Lining - We will meet at 1 p.m. for the Ariel Excursion Tour or Challenge Adventure Tour at Refreshing Mountain ( 455 Camp Road Stevens, PA 17578).  You will be responsible for all purchases, fees, and risks associated with this event. For more information, visit http://refreshingmountain.com/ (Contingent on having enough participants. RSVPs are encouraged)
    • Alumni Reception - We will meet at the Lucky Dog Cafe (849 River Road Confluence, PA 15424) at 5:30pm for appetizers. Hosted by the APSU Office of Alumni Relations. 

If you are not interested in bike riding or the activities listed, there are many other activities and options in the Confluence, PA area. Ohiopyle (ten mile drive from Confluence). The Yough Lake is within two miles of Confluence; pontoon boats can be rented at (https://www.facebook.com/YoughLakeMarina/notes) and the new memorial for the heroic actions of the 40 passengers and crew aboard Flight 93 that thwarted the attack on the U.S. Capitol on 9/11 (http://www.nps.gov/flni/index.htm) is in close distance.
