Delta Tau Alpha Honor Society
The Austin Peay State University agriculture department was one of the seven original charter members who helped found Delta Tau Alpha in 1959 as the honor society for non-land-grant agriculture programs. There currently are 24 chapters of Delta Tau Alpha nationwide. This honor society recognizes high standard of scholarship, leadership and character among agriculture students. Annual membership has varied up to about 15 students.

Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity
Alpha Gamma Rho is the only fraternity at APSU which is both social and professional.  It was chartered in 1983 as the Beta Mu chapter. Active members as well as many alumni participate in chapter activities. The Beta Mu chapter has a house located at 227 Marion Street adjacent to the campus. Activities of the fraternity include participation in regular Greek activities on campus as well as activities at some sister institutions. Special activities include participation in local livestock shows.

Ag Pre-Vet Club
This club is open to all agriculture students and other interested students at the University. Its purpose is to promote fellowship among agriculture students, especially pre-veterinary medicine majors. Activities typically include food socials as well as visits to institutions with veterinary medicine programs.
