The Austin Peay State University Foundation

The Austin Peay State University Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization founded in August of 1975.  A primary focus of the Foundation is to assist Austin Peay State University by providing funds for worthy purposes which are not sufficiently funded by other sources.

 

Duties of the Foundation

Membership in the Austin Peay Foundation is a special honor that is bestowed upon community and alumni leaders who have demonstrated genuine interest in the goal of enhancing higher education and Austin Peay State University. Members are elected to serve a term of five years. Members may be selected to serve a second term. After that, they must leave the board for at least one year.

Foundation members perform the following three duties:

Meetings of the Foundation are not frequent, but Foundation members are expected to attend all meetings of the Foundation. No more than two or three full board meetings are anticipated per year. The day-to-day business of the Foundation is conducted by the executive committee.

 

Success of the Foundation

Philanthropic gifts are needed to satisfy increased demands that have been placed on higher education in recent years. The Austin Peay State University Foundation has the responsibility of searching for and securing private funds which are vital to the University. Private financial support helps Austin Peay fulfill its mission and realize its full potential. The Foundation welcomes your gifts, which are not only investments in quality education, but in quality of life.
