Once you’ve applied and been admitted to APSU, follow these steps to enrollment:

Welcome to Austin Peay State University!  Below, is list of steps designed to guide you through the rest of the enrollment process at Austin Peay.

Apply for Scholarships
To be considered for all scholarships at Austin Peay, students should complete the Online Scholarship Application. Academic scholarship decisions are made based upon information provided on the admission application.

Apply for Financial Aid

Applying For Financial Aid Process

To be considered for all other types of financial aid at Austin Peay, students must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). For more information on financial aid, please visit

Submit Evidence of Lawful Presence 
All students who are to receive state benefits must submit proof of Lawful Presence.  The EVEA requires state public institutions of higher education to verify that persons seeking a state public benefit are either a “United States citizen” or “lawfully present” in the United States.  For further information about the accepted forms of documentation, please visit .


Apply for Housing
All freshmen who do not commute from the home of a parent or legal guardian are required to live in the University residence halls. All freshmen must complete a Housing Application at to live on campus.

Submit your Medical Forms
All new and readmitting full time students entering Austin Peay must provide proof of two immunizations of the Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) vaccinations, via a Certificate of Immunization prior to registration. Students who have graduated from a Tennessee high school after 1998 or were born before Jan. 1, 1957 are not required to provide proof of immunizations. 

All new, full time students must provide proof of 2 doses of varicella (chickenpox) vaccinations, or documented proof of having the disease by healthcare provider, or laboratory evidence of immunity to the disease, via a Certificate of Immunization prior to registration. Exemptions include students born before 1/1/1980 and on line only students, medical contraindication verified by a healthcare provider and religious exemption requiring a signed statement by the student that the vaccine conflicts with his or her religious tenets or practices.

Submit your Final Transcript

If you attended high school or college during the last term, the Admissions Office needs your final transcript. Please ask your School Counselor or Registrar to send your final transcript to: APSU, Office of Admissions, Box 4548, Clarksville, TN 37044.

Learn About Registering for Classes and Orientation
All new freshmen and transfer students must attend Summer or Winter Welcome, an advising and registration session. All first time, full time freshmen are also required to attend the Freshman Orientation.  Transfer students (with more than 12 credits) may complete their orientation and registration activities on-campus or online.  Watch your APSU email and your post mail for additional information on class registration and orientation!
