  • Students desiring to transfer from colleges or universities may be admitted if they are not suspended and currently in good standing at the last institution attended, provided they meet the minimum GPA requirements set forth by Austin Peay State University.  Transfer students who have been academically suspended from other colleges and universities will not be admitted until they have served one semester of suspension or the the suspension requirement of the previous institution.  Students desiring to transfer from colleges or universities who have been placed on academic probation, may be admitted on academic probation if they are in good standing at the last institution attended, and provided they meet the minimum GPA requirements set forth by Austin Peay State University.  Applicants who are denied admission because they do not meet minimum standards may appeal to the Committee on Admission Standards to be considered for admission on a probationary basis.  The decision of the committee is final.  Students who are denied by the committee are encouraged to return to their previous institution or attend a community college to improve their GPA and re-apply at another time.

  • Official college transcripts, high school transcripts or official GED scores - Students transferring to Austin Peay must present official transcripts sent directly to the Office of Admissions from any high school and/or college(s) previously attended regardless of whether they wish to receive credit.  If transferring 12 or more traditional semester hours, a high school transcript or GED scores are not required if students graduated from high school or received a GED prior to 1989.
