About Us

Our student chapter maintains a strong foundation for its members to get the most out of their college experience. It provides opportunities for leadership, involvement, academic success, personal growth, and lifelong friendships. Members are involved in a wide variety of activities. Stressing individuality, our chapter thrives on its diversity and believes each member's distinct qualities are important contributions to our chapter, university, and community.

Our chapter promotes computing as a hobby and as a profession by offering our members a variety of opportunities to become actively involved in computing. We participate in the Regional Programming contest, sponsored by IBM , and our Regional Annual ACM Conference. During the Annual Conference, in addition to listening to various keynote speakers from around the country, students can present technology oriented research projects on subjects of their choice and compete against other schools for recognition of excellence in research.

Our chapter also sponsors numerous guest speakers through the year to provide current insight into the computing industry. We also host other events designed to promote dialog between our peers and professors as well as to socialize and make friends.
