Online Support

The Academic Support Center employs experienced peer tutors to serve as online tutors. Online support may be accessed either through email or through the Virtual Academic Support Center, which is provided within D2L (APSU Online).

Writing Lab Support

Students may receive assistance preparing papers by submitting the paper to the Writing Lab. The Academic Support Center strives to answer all email requests for assistance within one day.

Virtual Academic Support Center

The Virtual Academic Support Center (VASC) provides online support for many core courses. Students access the VASC by logging into their D2L account and registering into the tutoring course for their class. See below for instructions on registering for a course.

Registering for a Tutoring Course within D2L

1. Log into your D2L account.
2. Select Self-Registration in the upper, left-hand corner.
3. Select the desired subject area.
4. Click on the Register button.
5. Click on the Submit button.
6. Click on the Finish button.
7. Click on the link to the tutoring course.
Congratulations. You are now registered for tutoring in the Virtual Academic Support Center. You will now be able to access tutoring for this subject whenever you are logged into D2L.
