First, choose the correct folder.
This will depend upon what type of document you are creating. Any document you are creating for Austin Peay State University will be under this section. For this tutorial, we will create a Portfolio.

Next, choose the correct template.
The options for templates are based on which folder you chose; choose according to your class.

Finally, choose a title.
Some professors will give you a title to put here; if not, create something specific enough so you know what the project is without having to open it.

Now that your document has been created, you can put in the necessary information.

The Portfolio shell, created by the College of Education, has specific documents, or artifacts, that they want placed in each section. Below each section for the artifacts, is a section for the explanation, or reflection. When you first open this document, search through the sections to see what you need to start collecting. Examples are observation notes, research papers, and lesson plans. This is NOT an extensive list and the artifacts will change depending upon the Portfolio. The information below is an example of what you might see.

It is recommended you visit the link shown, which is in each standard, so you know exactly what you have to do to get a good grade.

Each section has instructions already in the box.
To edit this, click the “Edit” button in the desired section.
DO NOT delete the instructions until after you have typed in the information. This will save you from having to guess what information they want.
