Homecoming Chili Cook-Off

The 7th annual Homecoming Chili Cook-Off will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28 in the Morgan University Center Ballroom. This year's event looks to be our biggest yet! So, get your entry in early...we look forward to the wide array of chili recipes that are cooked up!

Plaques will be awarded for the top three entries. Taste-testing is free and open to all University faculty, staff and students from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. (the chili is usually gone by Noon....so get there early). Awards will be given at Noon.

Rules

Entries will be judged based on three categories:

• Taste (70% of total score)
• Presentation (10% of total score)
• Originality (10% of total score)
• People's Choice (10% of total score)

All chili entries must be prepared in advance of the cook-off. A specified area/number will be designated for your entry and accompanying presentation materials. Outlets and extension cords will be provided for any warming appliances (crock pots, hot plates, etc...), but no warming appliances will be provided by Staff Senate.

Bowls/sampling cups/spoons/napkins will be provided for the event. However, if you have any special presentation materials, please feel free to use those.

All contestants will need to have their chili entries setup and presented for judging by 10:45 a.m. Late entries may not be judged.
