PHYSICS DISTRIBUTIVE NON-TEACHING MAJOR: 2110, 2120, 3005, 3010, 3030, 3100, 3550, 3700, 370L, 4000; MATH 2010, 2020, 3100; CSCI 1010; and 18 hours selected from: 3020, 3800, 3900, 390L, 4010, 4040, 4100, 4810, 4830; CHEM 3220, 3610, 3620; CSCI 2010, 3400, 3410; MKT 3010; MGT 3010, 3410, 3510, 3530, 4410; ENGT 3030, 3170, 3200, 3250, 4120, 4200, 4210, 4710; MATH 3110, 3450, 4160, 4240, 4670.

PHYSICS DISTRIBUTIVE TEACHING MAJOR: students completing this program will satisfy State of Tennessee guidelines for licensure to teach physics and general science; 1200, 2110, 2120, 3005, 3700, 370L, 390L; MATH 2010, 2020; BIOL 1010, 4400; CHEM 1010 or 1110; GEOL 1110; and the Secondary Education minor. Student Teaching is required for licensure.

ADDITIONAL TEACHING ENDORSEMENT IN PHYSICS: Requirements for students with teaching licensure in Tennessee: (OPTION 1 - 20 hours): PHYS 1010, 1020, 1200; (2010, 2020) or (2110, 2120); or, (OPTION 2 - Physic Minor 18 hours): PHYS 2110, 2120; select eight hours from (3005, 3010, 3030, 3100, 3550, 3700, 370L, 3800, 3900, 390L, 4000; National Teacher's Exam (NTE) Physics specialty exams (code 10261, minimum score of 124; code 10431, minimum score of 138; code 30483, no minimum score; and code 30262 or code 30433, no minimum score). If a candidate holds Tennessee licensure in Biology and Chemistry, candidate is only required to take code 10261, minimum score of 124. Student Teaching may be required.
