GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR AN ASSOCIATE DEGREE

Associate degree programs are offered through APSU Center at Fort Campbell. The Associate of Science in General Studies is designed as university-transfer leading to a bachelor's degree. The Associate of Science degree at Fort Campbell does not fulfill the Liberal Arts core requirements for a baccalaureate degree.

The Associate of Applied Science is an occupational degree. Transfer to a bachelor's degree is not the primary purpose of the A.A.S. degree, but in many cases credits are accepted in baccalaureate programs. The Associate of Applied Science degree does not fulfill Liberal Arts core requirements for a baccalaureate degree.

The general requirements for the associate's degree are as follows:

    1.  Earn the required number of credits as indicated in the program of study.
    2.  Earn no more than half of the required credits by non-traditional means.
    3.  Have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of at least a "C" (2.00) average.
    4.  Earn at least 16 credits in residence with APSU.
    5.  Have a minimum grade-point average of at least a "C" (2.00) in the required specialization for the Associate of Applied Science degree.
    6. Complete the Application for Graduation at least one term in advance.

   7. Satisfy the computer literacy requirement.
    8. ACT COMP is required for an Associate of Science degree only.
