HERITAGE PROGRAM
Office of Enrichment Programs
Coordinator: Mr. J. Clemmer

Heritage offers an innovative approach to learning, with interdisciplinary Humanities courses in writing, speaking, and research techniques. Students explore relationships among art, music, drama, and literature and the ways these disciplines reflect the history and growth of civilization. Plays, art exhibits, concerts, and field trips reinforce classroom presentations and workshops.
The Heritage Program (HUM 1010, 1020, 1110, 1120, 2010 and 2020) satisfies 24 hours (lower division credit only) of the required Liberal Arts core as follows:

     Area I Communications - 9 hours
     Area IV Humanities -12 hours
Area VI Social Sciences (HIST 3015)  - 3 hours

ELIGIBILITY:
All University students except those who must complete Developmental English are eligible. Though most students follow the entire Heritage Program, it is possible to enroll in individual courses to satisfy specific requirements or to earn elective credit. Any student completing the full two-year sequence will receive a certificate of achievement.
